JERSEY SHORE SWING POLICIES

Jersey Shore Swing is dedicated to providing a comfortable event experience for everyone. Our community is founded upon mutual respect and common courtesy.

We promote a partner dance and not a “find-a-partner dance”. If you encounter or observe any unwelcome behavior, please bring it to the attention of a Jersey Shore Swing organizer. We will deal with the situation promptly and with discretion. You may also contact us by emailing jerseyshoreswing@gmail.com.

Jersey Shore Swing may collect phone numbers, email addresses, or mailing addresses from students, event registrants, and members of our electronic community. This information will be kept private and confidential, and will not be used except to distribute information regarding our classes and events. Jersey Shore Swing will not distribute any personal information to other groups or organizations. 

Photographs and/or videos may be taken by Jersey Shore Swing at our events for promotional or educational uses only. Unless Jersey Shore Swing is notified otherwise, participants agree to the use of their likeness for these purposes.

Videos may be taken by students for their personal use only. Please respect other dancers’ privacy when taking photographs or videos. Do not post videos or photographs on public forums, such as YouTube or Instagram, without permission of those appearing in the videos or photographs. Do not take photos or videos of minors.

Recording of private lessons is limited to the student taking the lesson for their personal use only. Do not post videos or photographs on public forums, such as YouTube or Instagram without permission of those appearing in the videos.

Jersey Shore Swing actively encourages dancers of all ages to participate.  However, students under the age of 18 must adhere to the following policies: 

• All students under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. 
• Students aged 15-17 may attend our classes by submitting a waiver that is signed in person by their parent or guardian on the first visit.
• To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all our attendees, admission to dances and classes of individuals under the age of 14 is at our discretion.
